About the Organization

Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) (Los Angeles, California) advances the human and civil rights of immigrants and refugees in Los Angeles; promotes harmonious multi-ethnic and multi-racial human relations; and through coalition-building, advocacy, community education and organizing, empowers immigrants and their allies to build a more just society. CHIRLA's Policy and Advocacy Program team, along with its national and regional networks, advocates at the Federal level for humane and comprehensive immigration reform. Representatives will discuss their work advancing the human and civil rights of immigrants and refugees in Los Angeles.
